Hall
The Main Hall is a single badminton court size with a non-slip cushioned sports floor, court markings for badminton and basketball, as well as basketball hoops and backboards. A badminton net and stands are available, as is a table tennis table.
There is a large serving hatch from the kitchen to the hall and direct access to the stage via portable steps. Please discuss your requirements with the secretary when your booking is made.
Stage
The stage is accessible from the main hall by portable steps and also by a side door from the foyer. There are full curtains at the front and also towards the back, creating a backstage area if required. The stage can be closed off from the hall by sliding doors and used as a separate meeting / activity area. It has a clear floor space measuring 5.9m x 5.8m (19’ 7” x 19’ 2”).
A PA system is available on request, with 2 radio microphones and inputs for a music player (phone, laptop etc.). Bands generally provide their own PA but they have the option to use the in-house 600 watt amplifier and speaker system with their own mixing desk.
Kitchen
The newly refurbished kitchen has a double oven range cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, instant hot water boiler, double sink and stainless steel worktops. There is a full set of crockery / cutlery, with tea / coffee pots, jugs etc. for coffee mornings or other catered events. A large serving hatch opens into the main hall.
Upstairs Meeting Room
The meeting room can accommodate meetings of around 25 people. It has a sink / tea making facilities and its own toilet. The access to the meeting room is via a staircase at the side of the building. The main room measures 7.0m x 3.2m (22’ 11” x 10’ 6”) and its plain walls make it ideal for projection of presentations. Tables and chairs are available.
Off the main room at one end is a smaller room (3.2m x 2.3m/10’ 6” x 7’ 7”) which is ideal for interviews, consultations etc.
Outside Areas
Parking is available for around 20 cars, and ramped access paths provide access for all. A bus stop and drop-off/pick-up point are immediately outside the main entrance.
